Best Dressed at the BET Awards – The Men

Gucci was an extremely popular choice for this event.  And I’m a sucker for the double Gs so all of the following men were guaranteed to make my best dressed list…

I’m not 100% sure that this suit is Gucci, but the sneakers and the watch are so it stands to reason.  Either way he’s showing everyone how it’s done.

Young Randall Pearson serving one of the best looks of the night! Love those shoes!

Whatever. Like I said, I’m a sucker for Gucci.

This looks more like Dapper Dan than Alessandro Michele.  Also, those shoes are awesome.

There was some great looks that weren’t Gucci as well…

This might be one of my most favorite suits that a man has EVER worn.  It’s gorgeous and I like that his character on Grownish would probably never wear anything like this.  The reviews on SuperFly are NOT good, but I feel like he’ll bounce back and become a big star.

It’s interesting, appropriate for the event and tailored very well.  The only thing I’d change would be the shoes.  A deep, dark, almost black oxblood would look better.

That’s not your scarf, Terry.  You’re not the kind of man that can make a scarf work… those shoes though!

And one more pic because it’s fun and we get one more look at the shoes.

I’m not a fan of the “one button too many undone” trick but he actually looks pretty sexy in this.  Thank you to Getty Images and Bella Naija for the pic.

LaKeith Stanfield

Yes, I know the title of this blog post includes the term “best dressed” but hear me out… If you can divorce yourself from the bizarre wig, this outfit is awesome.  He’s wearing everyone’s favorite fabric for summer, velvet.  It’s a bomber, and yes bombers ARE a little tired, but with the rhinestones and the bow tie and the studded shoes, I think everything from the neck down really works.

I’m from Philly and I think our criminal justice system is beyond broken, so obviously I’m a big fan of this. #FreeMeek

I mean we’re not breaking any new ground here, but the color is unexpected and it’s tailored really well.  We gotta talk about those brown shoes and black belt though…
